  • Can I customize menus or packages?

    The JW Marriott Indianapolis and Indianapolis Marriott Downtown culinary team craft every menu to meet the needs of our event planners. Our packages are designed to make the decision-making process a bit easier, but our chef welcomes the opportunity to create a menu that represents your personal tastes.
  • Do I need to hire preferred vendors?

    Event planners are not obligated to work with any specific vendors, but we will be happy to provide you with recommendations of vendors with which we have trusted relationships.
  • Can I bring my own food, alcohol, or cake?

    All food and beverage served at Marriott IndyPlace must be provided by the hotel for your event, with the exception of wedding cakes. The cake may be provided by your choice of a licensed bakery. The hotel does work with specific caterers for service of specialty and ethnic food; additional fees for this service may apply.
  • What type of décor is included?

    We include complimentary floor length linens, overlays and napkins in black, ivory and gosa, glass vase centerpieces with a floating candle, votive candles, table numbers, flatware, glass, china, set up of tables, chairs, dance floor, and staging with our wedding packages.
  • Are there any décor enhancements I can add?

    Your wedding planner will provide you with a selection of upgrade and rental options to enhance the look of your event. From chair covers and unique seating to chargers, upgraded linen and custom lighting, your planner will help you create the backdrop for your dream wedding.
  • How do I check availability for weddings at Marriott IndyPlace?

    A certified wedding planner is available at (317) 860-5800 or by completing the request form. We look forward to learning more about you and your fiancé and assisting you with planning your perfect day.
  • What is the wedding planning process like at Marriott IndyPlace?

    You will have a certified wedding planner offering intuitive expertise and valuable assistance in anticipating your needs and handling the finest of details. Your family and cultural traditions will be handled with the care and attention deserved.
  • Is a suite included for couples on the wedding night?

    Our packages all include a complimentary accommodation for the bride and groom on their wedding night. Based on availability and the package you select, additional nights and suite upgrades may be available. Everything is done with care and precision at Marriott IndyPlace. This includes little touches that add up to exceptional experiences. Throughout your wedding planning process we will surprise you with tokens of our appreciation. As a special gift on your wedding night, you will receive a complimentary in-room amenity with turndown service.
  • Where can the bridal party get ready on the wedding day?

    Your wedding planner will provide your bridal party with a banquet room or suite to be available the day of your celebration and allow for preparations as needed.
  • Does Marriott IndyPlace host ethnic or cultural weddings?

    Yes, Marriott IndyPlace specializes in ethnic, cultural, and religious weddings, with a dedicated team of specialists experienced in planning alternative ceremonies and receptions. In addition, we offer ethnic wedding packages to accommodate unique ceremonies and receptions with cultural elements.
  • Can I provide gift bags to guests staying overnight at Marriott IndyPlace hotels?

    Yes, your event planner can arrange to have gift bags delivered to overnight guests or can work with you to arrange alternative distribution options.
